Electric Current and Voltage

Section Objectives:

  • Define electric current.
  • Define electric voltage.
  • Know how to use a voltmeter, ammeter, and multimeter.

Section Abstract:

The main elements of any electric circuit are the voltage and electric current. To study an electric circuit, it is essential to be able to measure these two quantities. This section is dedicated to defining these quantities, identify their units and then study the functioning of their measuring tools: the voltmeter, the ammeter, and the multimeter. Our target is to distinguish between these two tools and connect them properly in a circuit.
